We started Commonwealth Memberships as local business owners who understand the pressure that local businesses face when going head-to-head with big corporations.

It has become easy to order food from home, turn on the TV, and forget the outside world. But that kills culture, and it kills the community.

In order to preserve local culture, we need to make it easier and more rewarding to go out, see people face to face, and support your neighbourhood’s businesses.

Locally owned shops and restaurants are getting squeezed by big chains and rising costs. At the same time, every day people who want to support local often find it hard to justify the higher prices, lowering the frequency of their visits.
